The tremendous response to the Unrealized Impact study, along with a passion for seeing diverse teams thrive, has prompted Xiomara Padamsee and Monisha Lozier - partners and management team members running the Talent Services group at Bellwether Education Partners - to launch a new organization, Promise54.

Race and educational inequity have been intertwined throughout our nation’s history. On May 17, 1954, in the Brown v. Board of Education ruling, the Supreme Court observed “…it is doubtful that any child may reasonably be expected to succeed in life if he is denied the opportunity of an education. Such an opportunity, where the state has undertaken to provide it, is a right which must be made available to all on equal terms.”
Promise54 will enable organizations to deliver on this commitment by helping them to become healthy and high performing and to exemplify the equity and justice we seek in society.

The mission of Promise54 will be to work side by side with education organizations to cultivate and maintain healthy, equitable, and inclusive environments where a diverse set of staff can thrive to achieve transformational student outcomes.

The Founders' Vision

We envision a day when all students growing up in low-income communities are able to excel academically, and we believe this will happen when the schools and organizations that serve them are healthy and high performing and exemplify the equity and justice we seek in society.

Xiomara Padamsee is the founder and CEO of Promise54. She currently leads the Talent Advising practice - including the diversity, inclusion, and equity service offering - as a partner and member of the management team at Bellwether Education Partners. Xiomara has been working in education reform and human capital for 20 years, including roles as a leader in Deloitte Consulting’s Human Capital Group and as Vice President, management team member, and founder of Teach For America’s first national talent team.
Monisha Lozier is a co-founder and partner at Promise54. She is also a co-founder of Bellwether Education Partners, where she leads the Executive Search practice. Her 15-plus years of executive search and career coaching experience include roles at her own search firm, Cobbe Place Consulting, as a managing consultant in AT Kearney’s education practice, and as a client partner in Korn/Ferry International’s education practice.
